Rock Report 8/31/22 – Rob Zombie, Metallica and Ozzy !

We’ve had months of build-up, but it’s time for Rob Zombie’s The Munsters film for Netflix to provide a payoff. As such, the director has revealed that his reboot film for the franchise will arrive on Sept. 27.  Zombie revealed the news over the weekend.  Back in March, the film was given a PG rating. Rob Zombie has long been a fan of the original series and was intent on staying close in tone to the family friendly vibe of ’60s series.

It’s on, it’s in person and it’s should be pretty spectacular. We’re talking about the 2022 edition of Metallica’s annual “Helping Hands” Concert and Auction.  It’s going down in Los Angeles on Dec. 16, 2022.  While the city and date are set, the exact location of the special show as well as ticketing information has yet to be revealed.

This week, Ozzy Osbourne indicated that he’s moving back to his native U.K. from his longtime home in Los Angeles because of the amount of gun violence in the U.S.  The legendary heavy metal singer and Black Sabbath co-founder’s reason adds a new layer to what was previously reported to be a relocation based on tax reasons. The musician put his L.A. residence up for sale this summer.
