Rock Report 11-30-21

Welcome back, Three Days Grace! The Canadian rockers are getting in with new music just ahead of the year end with the brand new song “So Called Life.”
The song is tied to the band’s next album, titled Explosions, which is now on tap for a May 6 street date. Pre-orders are available on their website.

Congratulations to Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer’s Maynard James Keenan, who’s received his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

When the singer isn’t writing, recording or performing with one of his three bands, he’s concocting different wines at his Caduceus Cellars winery in Jerome, Ariz. and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Apparently he’s been a practitioner of the martial art for quite a while, as a Hawaiian-based trainer named Chief Limao posted a photo with him wearing a brown belt.

Vince Neil returned to the stage on Nov. 24 for the first time since suffering a fall that resulted in broken ribs. Neil and his solo band played Las Vegas’ inaugural DrinksGiving celebration, giving a free concert on Fremont Street.

The Motley Crue singer has had a rough year so far. Neil ended his first show since the pandemic early after a disastrous performance that went viral. He canceled a number of follow-up solo gigs before breaking his ribs at the Monsters on the Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Motley Crue also postponed their highly anticipated stadium tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett to 2022.
