30 Years On The Air on WIIL ROCK!

John Perry is WIIL ROCK’s longest-standing On-Air jock. JP started on the air here at WIIL ROCK 30 Years Ago in October of 92, just a month after the radio station signed on with the “Rock” format. JP is also the program/content director at WIIL ROCK and has been awarded the coveted Major Market Program Director Of The Year, 2 years in a row at the Radio Contraband Awards in Las Vegas.

JP is a weekend warrior men’s league hockey player and a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. He loves all sports including fishing, motorcycling, boating, hiking, and golfing. Did we mention he’s into gambling and whiskey too? Blackhawks! Cubbies! Packers! Wolves & Admirals! I almost forgot, DOGS! JP loves dogs!

One of JP’s favorite hobbies is the WIIL ROCK Jeep Wrangler Club! JP hosts an annual Charity JEEP rally in September each year to support a local charity.

Music is JP’s #1 passion! He has seen over 2000 bands in the last 30 years in the radio business.
