Ed Hammer got his start in radio as a college student by calling in at 1 am and singing Britney Spears. The next day, the station manager called him and offered him a shift, and it's been all downhill from there! Hammer got hired at WIIL Rock because he was around the studio one day that we needed a sub for the softball team, and wound up getting on the air and running the Rockers softball team by the end of the season. Hammer’s first official act as an employee at WIIL Rock was to climb up onto the roof and put out the fire that Duco started by setting off fireworks in the parking lot.
