Rock Report 02/07/23 – Cypress Hill, RHCP, and Ozzy !

Cypress Hill gave fans an inside look at the rock-indebted hip-hop group’s rehearsals with Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter and System of a Down bassist Shavo over the weekend.  It was before the expanded group performed at a NASCAR event.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently embarking on their extensive Global Stadium Tour.  Whereas most RHCP shows are guaranteed to please audiences, their recent performance in Australia was apparently so disappointing that some devotees are vowing to miss all of their future concerts.  Longtime fans have accused Red Hot Chili Peppers of an underwhelming concert with not enough hits.

Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi have won the 2023 Grammy award for Best Metal Performance for “Degradation Trip.”  The award was announced during a live pre-ceremony where dozens of other category winners are unveiled in advance of the televised event
