St. Patrick’s Day shouldn’t just be one day in fact it’ll be a whole weekend in McHenry! Come see us in the parade!!
5K Shamrock Shuffle at East Campus High School at 8am
Blarney Island starts dyeing the Fox River emerald green at 9am. The Pearl Street Bridge will be closed and is an excellent viewing location along with Miller Point.
The festival grounds will be open at 9:30am. Beer ticket sales will begin at 10:30am and the beer taps open at 11am. Open drink carry in plastic cups throughout downtown McHenry is permissible from 11am – 6pm.
The Parade starts at 11am also and begins at Kane Ave and Green Street proceeding north on Green St to Pearl Street, turning east to Riverside Drive. The parade will turn north this year and circle back to Veteran’s Memorial Park to disband. Bagpipers will lead a procession to the festival grounds at Miller Point. Some of your favorite WIIL rock Joxs will be in the parade as well!
Live music in the heated tent at Miller Point begins at 12pm and runs all day and into the night!
The festival grounds will have multiple food trucks, free children’s activities and face painting.
Wrapping up on Sta Patrick’s Day with:
More of the same with festival grounds and all associated activities and live music starting at 12pm. Open drink carry will once again be permissible in plastic cups throughout downtown from 12pm – 6pm.
The McNulty Irish Dancers will perform at 2:30pm.
The festival will conclude with a 15 minute fireworks show at 7pm.
