Mongolian metal band The Hu is honoring their influences with a cover of Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper,” with a video to go along with it, released ahead of their joint tour that kicked off on Friday. You can see Maiden with The Hu opening up for them on the North American leg of the ‘Future Past Tour,’ as they make a stop at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont on Thursday, October 24th.

Drowning Pool’s founding guitarist C.J. Pierce announced plans for a new full-length album, aiming to finish a couple more tracks before their upcoming tour. He expressed hopes to complete additional songs during a break at the end of the year. The band plans to release the album next year, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of their debut album, “Sinner.”

And finally, Dave Grohl’s wife, Jordyn Blum, is focusing on her life and their three daughters after Grohl revealed he had a child outside their 21-year marriage. A source says she’s finding it tough, doesn’t trust Grohl, and is not wearing her wedding ring anymore as she leans on friends for support during this challenging time.
