Slash and his band, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, are gearing up to enter the studio in November to begin recording their fifth album, with a tentative release slated for next year. Slash recently shared a photo with bandmates Brent Fitz and Todd Kerns, announcing, “Back at it for new record coming sooner than later.” The team will start laying down tracks before Myles joins in. Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody fractured a rib while performing at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, last Thursday. The injury occurred during the eleventh song, “IOU,” as Moody slipped on the rainy stage but quickly recovered to finish the set. Due to what happened, the band was forced to cancel their performance with Metallica in Mexico City on Sunday.

And finally, speaking of the Louder Than Life festival, organizers had to cancel the second day on Friday due to severe weather from remnants of Hurricane Helene. Initially set to open gates between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., officials advised attendees to seek shelter in their vehicles or at the nearest shelter, announcing the cancellation and expressing gratitude for the attendees’ support and promising to return for the next day. Among the bands which were scheduled to play were Slayer, Till Lindemann, Anthrax, Evanescence, and In This Moment.
