And finally, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter during his arraignment in Alhambra, California, on Thursday. The charges stem from a March 18 accident in which Klinghoffer struck and fatally injured a 47-year-old pedestrian. The victim’s daughter filed a civil suit in July, alleging Klinghoffer was likely distracted and failed to brake. Klinghoffer’s attorneys described the incident as a “tragic accident” with “no criminal intent.” He currently performs with Pearl Jam’s touring band.
