Metallica is extending their world tour into a third year, announcing 21 North American shows scheduled for April, May, and June 2025. The M72 tour will feature a full production with a massive in-the-round stage, including performances at two college football stadiums. Supporting acts for the 2025 run will include Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills.
Platinum-certified rock band 311 has announced their highly anticipated 14th studio album, “Full Bloom,” set for release on October 25. In celebration, the band has unveiled a new song and visualizer for “Need Somebody,” which emphasizes the importance of avoiding isolation and staying connected with loved ones.
And finally, a new study by Tebra, titled “Healing Harmonies: Top Music for Mental Health,” reveals that Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Slipknot are the most featured metal bands on mental health playlists. The research surveyed over 1,000 people and analyzed over 68,000 songs on Spotify. While The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin topped the rock category, rock was the most common genre overall, with metal ranking fourth.
