Tom Morello is urging the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to induct Iron Maiden, a notable holdout despite being eligible since 2005. The Rage Against the Machine guitarist, known for championing hard rock and metal, previously inducted Randy Rhoads and KISS. Iron Maiden, nominated in 2021 and 2023, remains absent from the Hall.

Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson has confirmed he will not join the band’s upcoming reunion tour dates, despite contributing to their new music. Delson was absent from the September 5 global livestream event, where Mike Shinoda introduced Alex Feder as his replacement. Delson thanked fans, praised new members Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain, and confirmed Feder’s role as the band’s touring guitarist.

And finally, Grammy-nominated metal band SPIRITBOX has released their new single “Soft Spine” via Pale Chord and Rise Records. The track, teased with a cryptic puzzle, follows their recent “Best International Artist” win at the 2024 Heavy Music Awards.
