"Hi Emily,

Just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks for your help getting the word out about the Free Guitars for Future Stars fundraiser StrummerFest.
We had several attendees mention hearing the 95 WIIL Rock spot you did about the event.
I think it was our best turnout yet. Thanks for the support!

Scott"

FOX LAKE FAMILY FACING A BATTLE AGAINST LEUKEMIA

FOR 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER BONNIE

Fox Lake, IL--February, 2014

On February 4, 2014, Bonnie Vonder Haar and her parents faced every 12 year old and parents worst nightmare..."You have Leukemia".  Right then, the battle began and life as the Vonder Haar's knew it, changed.

That next day, Bonnie immediately began undergoing treatment and has responded favorably.  So then and there, neighbors, friends and teammates have jumped in to support and lift up the Vonder Haar's by showing support and raising awareness about Leukemia.

Bonnie is a sweet, caring, strong, and athletic young girl who loves life. Bonnie is a tough girl who enjoys Hockey, Softball, flipping on the trampoline, and playing with her dog and siblings.Bonnie has a sister Hannah and a brother Ben who are also involved in sports and two wonderful parents Laura and Dave who give up everything to make sure their children have opportunities to be kids and love life.

Friends of the family have set up a fundraising page at https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/qjy3/we-love-you-bonnie to help with the mounting medical bills.

Friends are also working on several events in and around the community to fund raise and help this amazing little girl and sport loving family.

For more information on these events and to learn more about how you can help in the effort to raise money and awareness about Bonnie Vonder Haar, please contact Kara Bolton at 847-875-8075 or Kbolton20@msn.com.
